History
Chac-Chi was established on 1998 in the early phases of development of the Costa Maya peer. Chac-Chi vision was to create a ecological beach resort with low impact in the enviroment and focus on ecotourism. Chac-Chi offered twelve traditional Mayan style beachfront cabins, restaurant and bar service.
Since 2001, when Costa Maya peer started operations, Chac-Chi offered beach club services to cruise ship passengers and crew.
In 2007 when Hurricane Dean hit Mahahual Chac-Chi was severely damaged, only two cabins were left standing, palapas for the restaurant and bar were missing and most of the sandy beach was gone.
Today the sand is back, we have successfully repaired the damage caused by the hurricane on key areas and we would like to invite you to come and enjoy yourself once more on Chac-Chi .
